This service
is suited to all PCs that have ‘always on’ Internet connections, such as
those provided by ADSL or cable modems. Each quarter over the course of
a year a vulnerability scan of your PC is performed which examines its network
configuration and produces a report of the findings. Where vulnerabilities
are found recommendations on fixing them are given. This scan can also be
used to confirm the configuration of your (personal) firewall. All ‘reserved’
ports are examined together with popularly trojanised ports (e.g. Back Orifice
etc). All results are sent encrypted to nominated contacts.
The service
features: -
- TCP
scan of 'reserved' (1- 1023) ports and those on which Worms and Trojans
reside.
- UDP
scan of well-defined services, such as tftp, snmp, etc. and those on
which Worms and Trojans reside.
- Scans
continually updated to accommodate the latest vulnerabilities.
- Scans
occur quarterly.
- Encrypted
reports dispatched quarterly.
- Scan
occur at a time specified by you, e.g. during 'quiet' periods.
